In my opinion, I don't believe it.
The way I read it, there are an aged group of "gangsters" down in Florida trading valuable old Vegas chips amongst themselves.
They can't/haven't died all at the same time, so where are the chips from the guys that died first?
With this limited group of "gangsters", haven't they traded themselves out at this point?
Hard to believe that this group realized the potential value of these chips, held on to them for all these years, and now trade them in secret amongst themselves. I always assumed "gangsters" were out to make a profit.
"..wait until the hobby sees what really came out of that desert, 30 years ago" - to me that indicates that racks of chips are out there. Do the "gangsters" trade racks or individual chips?
If there were that many old & rare chips out there, they would make it to the market. The woman who sent the email to Mark was able to scan chips and send an email.
I don't buy it.
