Does this mean we'll be seeing more high-end fake/remanufactured chips hitting the market. This time being passed off as chips gathered from some of the good old boys as they left town?

The technology to manufacture fake chips is not rocket science. Nor are the processes that are commonly used to show the appearance of legitimate table wear. Nor are fabricated stories of how they were obtained. i.e. My Uncle passed away and these were just some of the items found in a safety deposit box once belonging to him.
