I really don't know what to say about this but it sounds ominous to me. This Email has been edited to take out both sender and recievers identities.
A friend of mine was doing some inquiries about some Nevada stuff and this was one of the Emails that was returned.
There were pics of some extremely rare Vegas chips all in just like new condition.
This has always been a concern of mine...I would imagine many will attribute it to a "Snopes Urban Legend." If so, well be it but I doubt it.
And no I didn't write it, but I will be accused of it I am sure. When it was sent to me I asked permission to post it. I had to take out some facts and names. This is what is left.
Something to think about...
My marriage survived Las Vegas. My husband worked for the Binion's for 5 years, and then went to work in the Dice Pit of the Stardust. His boss was Frank "Lefty" Rosenthal. It is amazing how many of his old friends, and collogues live down here. When they come over to visit, us wives leave the room. We don't know what they are taking about anyway. I also maintain the chip collection we left the desert with. That stuff has gotten so expensive, we don't buy much anymore. When we want something, we can usually get it from these old fossils down here in Florida. I do not believe the chip collecting community, and the hobby as a whole, realize what is going on under the radar screen. These people don't use computers, charge cards, or even checking accounts. I is like having the boys/gangsters over for dinner. The only way they communicate, is in person, and all the trading is done with cash. There are a few authors of chip collecting books, if they knew what we know, they would stop writing them. These people will all pass someday, wait until the hobby sees what really came out of that desert, 30 years ago. Be careful what you buy.
Take it for what it's worth.
