I only just got this, so I have a feeling Al is already playing in the tournament. But, I'll post it as he asked. Andy - Las Vegas
Hey Andy, an old friend needs advice from the Chip Board. Unfortunately, the software there recognizes me, but won't let me re-register for my new email account. Probably my fault. But if you could do me a favor, I need some tournament advice for tomorrow. Would you be willing to post this?
TOURNAMENT ADVICE PLEASE
For all of you I haven't spoken to off-board, allow me to say hello. I've missed this board, and I thought a few of you might find my recent and future stories interesting.
As many of my old friends know, I'm a journalist. And as such, I'm covering the WSOP. That gave me a free roll in the media/celebrity tournament that kicked off the Main Event. I was barely thinking about what charity I'd donate my winnings to (media can't take cash for things like that) when I saw them about to seat Jennifer Tilly at my table. All I wanted was a chance to go "all in" against a bracelet holder. While I was obsessing on that, I lost all my chips on Big Slick with an Ace on board to a set I hadn't noticed because I was looking at Jennifer. But of course, there's a punch line. I busted because I wanted to play Jen, and she was already busted out and waiting to be re-seated for pictures only.
HA
So tomorrow I think I might get into a journalist-only tournament with Moneymaker, Hachem and Raymer. (Guess who's sponsoring it???)
I lost my copy of "Kill Phil," which is what I'd be studying right now.
So I guess my question is this -- Any advice?????
You guys know how to play, and I want to make an impression on these guys.
Thanks in advance.
Al
