It was used at an arcade, or rather a carnival type gaming to redeem for prizes. Was used a long time ago instead of tickets that are used now a days...I believe, but not certain, It was from the beach in San Francisco by the Cliff House in the '50s, '60s or so.
BUT, maybe I am wrong.
I had a bunch and started to just give them away.
Is a very nice chip though....
