Re: NCR - US $20 bills w/* in sequence....

1. It has long been the practice to replace 'bad" notes with replacement notes. At one time the Star was at the front rather than the rear.

2. Star notes, on average, always bring a premium over regluar notes as the number printed are aobut 1/1,000,000 to the normal notes.

3. New notes are delivered to finical instuations in pre-assembled packs, so the serial numbers will thus be in order.

4. Notes in general, in sequential order, likewise bring a premium, but not oververly so from regular notes.

5. Having star notes AND in order, will increase the premium, but only selling them in sets.

The problem that I always have had when encoutering this is that usually I do not have enough money in hand to be able to purchase a signifcant number to make it worth wile. Of course, if they were $1.00 notes, that would be different, but for $20.00 notes (or higher) it takes just a little bit bigger bankroll that what I have.

Hope this info helps.

If you are looking to sell some, I would offer than in packs of 10 notes each, and start them out at about $2.00 (each) over face.

Of course, if you can afford to hold on them for a couple years, the price will increase about 10% per year.

DO NOT FOLD the notes, or else the value decrease to about face value at most.

Hope this information is of some help. I do have reference material for older notes that I can quote you prices on if that would be of some help
