I knew all the Dodgers' names, strengths, weaknesses, ages, prior experience--you get the picture. In recent years players have moved through so quickly that I'm pretty ignorant of their personnel. I miss the days of watching players nurtured in the farm system, then being brought up to the "Big Show." The Dodgers used to have the best farm system in the majors. Free agency changed the whole picture. But you can't go back.
