The Dell AIO will also not scan any vivid colors--have you tried fire orange and a really bright yellow? My Cannon AIO Pixma MP780 does them beautifully. I spent months with tech support at Dell (which happens to be in the Phillipines) and got nowhere. Finally I got onto a tech support chat room and asked and one guy who used to work for "Hell" said there is no way you can get them to do vivid colors. It is a driver problem and they will not correct it nor stand by their products--so don't get a Dell either!
