Is that a TRICK question, Mark? rofl

Doyle won BOTH of his WSOP main events with 10 2.

In 1976 it was Jesse Alto who came in 2nd. Alto owned a car dealership down in Houston & had money to burn. He was one of the regulars in the big stakes cash game that went on every year. A million or more on the table when they played. And back in those days I could just lean on the rail, about three feet or so from the table, & sweat the game. Alto has also passed away.

In 1977 it was Gary "Bones" Berland who came in 2nd. Berland passed away back in the 80's. He was a hell of a player. I have most of these years taped by the way. During the last few months when Becky still owned the Horseshoe, she sold the early years in the gift shop.

Now a question for you! What is the only year in the last 24 years or so, that has NOT been shown to the public? grin And who was the winner that year?

And for the record...I have been to some part of every WSOP since 1977 EXCEPT for one year. sad Andy - Las Vegas
