Most chips are usually removed by the dealer in stacks when paying the winners.

$2.50 are usually removed from the dealer's stack one at a time and usually involved a natural blackjack. The single removal from the dealer's stack and the halt in normal play allow the "snap" to be heard when they are removed from the stack.
