Re: How do I get two pictures to appear side by si

Do you mean, when you post pictures at the bottom of your post, you want them side by side rather then one above the other?

You can either go into an image editing program like Photoshop and make a new image and put two or more images together as one, like I did for the image which I have linked at the bottom of my post. That image link is included in the Optional Image URL box below where I write my post. I believe you can only link one image in that way.

Or, use the codes to put images anywhere in your post. You can put them at the top, in the middle or the bottom of your post by using the actual codes. I have to break them up here or you won't see them so lets try this. Those codes would be the brackets, [ ] which are found lower case to the right of your P on the keyboard. In those brackets, put, img in the brackets that are before the URL link for your picture and /img at the end of the URL Link. Then, simply put two pictures right together with a space or two between them. Do not hit the return button.

If you hit the return button between the codes and links to your pictures, you will get

Keep in mind the width of your pictures when putting them side by side on the same line. A combined width of more than 700 pixels will often force people to scan back and forth to see the images and read text. That can be a nuissance in some situations. If you have 2 320 wide images you will be good but if you have 2 640 images you could make things difficult.

Let me try something else here.

For more information on formatting items in your post or adding images, go to that link. You will see how the codes and brackets are constructed. The instructions there use pic inside the brackets but I used img and it works the same. At least preview shows that they are. We will see what happens when I actually send.
