in a satellite and they paid the top 10% at the WSOP (which they do, approximately), it is far more than worth it to enter. And, if luck really smiles on me and I have a chance to win up to $10 million, so much the better.
An average player (for the field) only has to get more than 10 times their expenditure for it to be worthwhile as an investment. For most, of course, the experience itself is worth more than $120. I would do it in a heartbeat. I know people who spend much more on much less (a nice dinner or even a bottle of wine), and don't see it as foolish. To each his own.
