I don't disagree that there is an element of skill in poker. I also don't disagree that over the long run a "skilled" player will do better than an unskilled player.
IMO, the long run is no single tourney which is why a Chris Moneymaker can kick the crap out of every pro in the room and walk away with the money while certain pros with 10,000 on the line couldn't get past noon the first day. How has Mr. Moneymaker done since? It's an illusion.
