I know a guy who is obsessed with the Civil War, spends every free minute and more money then he can afford on uniforms and equipment for reenacting. I have Know people whose kids wear garage sale clothes, but dad fishes every day in a $15,000 bass boat. Hundreds of us spend far too much time and money collecting these silly little casino chips that don't do anything but just sit there.

We can outlaw everything that Stu and the Congress don't personally enjoy because someone might waste money on it. Or we could live in a free society where people can do as they please whether others think it is good for them or not. I was taught in school that the U.S. was founded on the latter principle, but anymore I am beginning to wonder.
