I spent last week in Michigan's upper peninsula (Yoopers rule over Trolls). I brought the kids with me, so I didn't do alot of casino hopping, but I did find the time to make it over to the St Ignace Kewadin Casino.
They have spent some time in constructing a new casino building, bigger and better than the last one. However, upon completion of the building, they discovered that they built part of it on land not zoned of Native American gaming. You would think someone would have done some research before opening day. As a result, they cannot open the new casino building yet and will have to go through the legal mess of figuring it out.
Chip wise, there was nothing new that I could see. The Chipcos are terribly worn and I hope they bring in some new chips with the new building (if it ever opens).
That is all I have to report for now. If someone hears when the building opens, please let me know.
