On my last night of casino fun (early flight the next day), I just finished up at the Excelsior. I realized I hadn't tried to get playing cards or dice there yet. I asked at the blackjack pit and the pit boss pointed me back to the window in the poker room and told me to ask there. I went inside and spoke to the gentleman behind the counter. He knew who I was. I told him the pit boss told me to ask him for cards or dice. He looks back for a second, and then calls to the Poker Room Manager, who was sitting in at a pot limit omaha game that was still starting up. He spoke to him in Papiamento, the local language (they all speak English and Dutch fluently as well). The Manager nodded yes. He asked again. The Manager once again nodded yes. He asked a third time and received a final nod, and the Manager looked down and away. The man behind the counter takes out 2 decks, one blue, one red, with no boxes and apologizes because they are not in order. I thank him and give him a tip. As I am about to exit the casino, I look at them and notice they do not have the casino name on them. Slitghtly disappointed, I ponder whether to toss them there or back at my hotel room. Then, I notice the feel. They gave me two decks of pure plastic cards, USPC, that they use in the poker room. Now that was a NICE gesture!
