The Bettor (Ashley Revell)
Was handsomley paid for doing this 'stunt' and would have come out alright even if he had lost. He claimed he 'always had a home to go to' (possibly his parents or siblings) Still trying to find whether he bought his own house back but you would have thought he would have upgraded given that he won $130,000.
Have found a few reasons why various casinos, not just the hard rock refused to take this bet, mostly to fo with the fact the UK tv station (Sky TV) wanted to film the spin live and this prompted some bookies to offer a prop bet on whether he would win or lose, live broadcast of gaming as i understand prohibited if it could be used to bet elsewhere so a 20 minute time delay was factored in. Another was the 0 and 00 on the roulette wheel, apparantly the plaza agreed to use a European wheel and declare the spin void should the ball land on the 0 whereas the hard rock wanted to use an American wheel and altho the 0 was similarly void the hard rock wanted the 00 to remain live and a loss for the bettor giving the house an edge. Others including Caesars and Harrahs claimed this was irresponsible gambling and sent out the wrong message.
So its possible that any of these reasons were the one as to why the hard rock who had origianlly agreed to take this wager subsequently pulled out
