To begin, I wanted to just show some nice pictures that give you an idea of the scenary. I have no idea how to spell it, but the Palapa is an important feature on Aruba beaches. They are umbrella like structures that provide shade and a little protection from the wind to beach goers.
The symbol of Aruba is the Divi Divi tree, picturesque trees that are gnarled and bent by the winds.
They are also known for their lizards. Where I stayed they have a number of iguanas, included a few old and large iguanas, but I never got a great picture of any, so here's a nice little guy that did stick around for a picture.
