Does this also apply to tournaments at the Palms? What if I had worn a Poker Stars hat during our club tournament? Or do you think it's because we have Poker Stars & Paradise Poker as sponsors of BARGE? Andy - Las Vegas

Despite our best efforts, the Plaza has informed us that the Nevada Gaming Commission has ruled that we may not wear or display logos for online gaming sites while playing in our tournaments during BARGE because this "promotes on-line gaming". There is no issue other than during the Tourneys themselves.

We have argued until we're blue in the face that we are being unfairly singled out, to no avail. Both of us are upset about this ridiculous requirement, but at this late date there is little we can do for this year.

On another unhappy note, there is a strong possibility that we may not be able to hold the Video Poker Tournament. Neither the Plaza nor Binion's has VP tourney machines. We are still searching for a site, but if we are unable to find one, all entries will be refunded at BARGE.

Remember that registration will close August 6th.
