The Golden Nugget opened in 1946. At that time it was just a casino/saloon...no hotel rooms. There have been several ownership changes over the years, but the name has been retained.

This one shows the facade after the Nugget expanded to the property that had been occupied by the Nevada Club.

That black box is playing cards issued to commemorate the Golden Nugget's 5th Anniversary. Unfortunately, the box should contain two decks of cards, but only has one.
