We found a business card and a matchbook cover (um, MOST of a matchbook cover).
And in today's mail, we got a brochure from October 28, 1949, with this ad on the back
A short article in the brochure says:
"Old Fremont St. around the 100 block has 4 new revised places for everybodys smilin' faces. The WHITE SPOT CAFE now has changed its name to the WHITE SPOT ARCADE with JIM & GEORGE PAPAS housing over 50 latest & greatest slot machines installed for everybodys action. Next door a Father & Son combo that's hard to beat, in meals good to eat at the FRONTIER DELICATESSEN is LES & DICK GOLDRING. Newly redecorated & opened the GOLDRINGS feature a 1/2 lb. Hamburger Steak with cole slaw, french-fried onion rings & potatoes. All for 90 cents. How sweet this will be. All "ex-dealers & wheelers" who crowded around KHOURYS CLUB SAVOY his week, by this time, are either "wheelin' & dealin'" in this newly opened Fremont night spot or are "reelin' & peelin'" on the open road again. Last but not least will be the new LOAN SHOP in WOLFSON'S JEWLERY old site. This will be the last of the new 4 to score in business, they hope."
