These conventions just keep on getting better and better.
The best part of the convention floor was the fact that Jim was able to secure a room close to the bathrooms. Now this may not sound like such a big deal for many, but let me assure you, to us old timers, it's one of the most important feature we look forward to--especially if one is maning a table alone.
I don't know how Jim and his wife and crew do it, but convention floor was ideal according to the dealers I spoke to. Sure, one day, I think it was Friday, that there was a parking problem but that was not anyones fault on the promoters part and also there was some loud (music??) coming from the next room, but thank God it wasn't Rap music.
Those inconveniences, however, were really minor for those of us staying at the Riveria--which is where everyone should have been staying anyway as far as I'm concerned.
The Banquet was just supurb and Wayne did his normal great job in overseeing it.
I don't know if the crown was better or not but I was very very satisfied with the attendence.
I believe that as a whole, people spent more due to the great economy and of course there were a lot of new faces---and unfortunately a few were missing but never to be forgotten by some of us.
