Nice matchbook. I assume it is from the first Louis/Schmeling fight on 6/19/36. Schmelling KO'd the then unbeaten Louis in the 12th.

Rematch was on 6/22/38. Fight was in Yankee Stadium in front of over 70,000 people. Louis won by KO in 2:04 of the first round. Both fighters weighed in at less than 200 pounds.

Probably has some value to it. I lot of Third Reich and African-American history associated with that matchbook.
