I took this during our Wednesday night banquet at the top of the Riv. It's all that's left of the Westward Ho and the Ho. Between the roof of the Riv at the bottom of the picture and the Westward Ho sign is the unseen Las Vegas Strip.
This one hit home. The Westward Ho was my first job in Las Vegas. When I arrived in Las Vegas in August 1987, Paula Peterson hired me to be a change boy in slots while I went to dealer's school. It seems like both yesterday and a lifetime ago!
