I grew up in Westport, CT. My neighbor Zack's house (our houses were not on the same street, but our yards were connected) lived right across from the Sedaka (big) house. As I recall, there was an old actor (David Wayne I think) and Robert Redford who had lived in the house before him.

The house had a huge strip of front lawn that ran next to the driveway. Sedaka would hit the ball from one end, then turn around and hit it back. Without being seen, my friend Zack would run out and grab the ball when it landed and run back into his yard. Sedaka would look for the ball, couldn't find it, and walk back to his "tee" area and get another ball.

We took turns doing this. One time he saw Zack grabbing the ball and said something like, "You **&^%$#*&^" kids!!" and chased us away.
