Great story for the illegal collector!
I was at Mark Lightermans house a while back and he was showing me all kinds of Florida gaming history photos, and other gaming things. He showed me this picture from a gambling raid in Miami in 1929. Mark has had these photos since 1998.
he then showed me a a picture where he had the negative from that image blown up to show the area of the pile of chips.
I had forgot about it and 1 day i found the chips from that photo(that pic is comming )on Roberts site. He only had a few. I didnt remember where i saw the chip before but i took a gamble and got the chip. I then found that it was the chip From Marks photo.(promise that pic is comming ). Mark emailed me the blow up pic from the pic above. I cut and pasted my chip next to a chip in the photo...MATCH!!!
Heres the bad part, Mark and i (mostley Mark ) have been trying to get the name of the club. We know it was in FLorida and we even Know the date the raid took place, but no name yet. We have the photographer's name, Fishbaugh, W. A. (William A.). He apparently was a popular photographer in the 20's to the 40's in south Florida. We are still looking and believe we can eventually find the name of this club. OK OK heres the 2 pics.....
