IN the ninth Thome Got a hit knocking in the White Sox' 4th run. Guillen leaves him in the game. Next batter gets a double and Thome chugs around to third when fleeter legs could have scored. Next batter makes the 3rd out. Sox ahead 4 - 2 going to bottom of ninth. Guillen replaces Thome at 1st for defensive reasons.

If Guillen was going to replace Thome anyway why not with a pinch runner?

No harm done since Jenks set the Bucs down 1,2,3 in the ninth but some logic was lost on me with this situation.
