I've been using that recipe for over 25 years. I scorched it once about 20 years ago, and that was the last time I tried to hurry it up!
I've tried putting all kinds of things in it... once I even drained and chopped marchino (?) cherries to put in it. It tasted good, but the cherries were still too juicy so the fudge was kinda gooey!
