More of the competitive relationship Harold Sr. felt he had with his father in that he states that "Daddy" was a pushover for conmen. Harold returns from a business trip to find this "clip" game in the joint with Daddy paying the operator more than anyone else working at the Club. Harold explains how he'd seen through this scam a long time before in Florida.

I Want To Quit Winners is a must-read to anyone with any remote interest in Harolds Club or Reno. Be advised that you will not be able to make head nor tails of who Harold Sr. and his family were or what was going on at the club. The real key to this book is to read Dwayne Kling's A Family Affair, an oral history of the whole shooting match after you've read Winners. Trust me on this sequence! You can get Harold's autobiography on eBay easily enough. I paid $10 for an excellent example and be advised...ALL copies of this book are autographed as shown!!!!!!!!!! Typical of Harold was that the Club ran a promotional contest with a big cash prize for folks to name the book...the winner got $1000 and Harold named it what he wanted to name it anyway!
