Got a roulette felt from Luxor. First, I soaked it for a few hours in the bathtub in cold water with Woolite. Swirled it around every once in a while to simulate a washing machine! You should have seen the filth that came out of it!!! Second, I rinsed it out really well and then took it outside. It was a sunny day, so I spread it out on my deck, and rinsed it some more with the hose. Then I let it dry by draping it over the backs of a couple deck chairs, design-side in so it wouldn't get faded by the sun. It came out really nice! I bought a big piece of thin plywood, and then stretched the felt flat around the board, and tacked it in place. Then I taped the edges down on the back of the board so it wouldn't budge. It's a very cool thing I haul out every time we have a casino party at my house! Folks like to play on the "real thing". And all I had to do was ask the guys one morning at Luxor who were changing the felts out if I could have one of the ones they were throwing away. Best souvenir I've gotten yet! And it was free!
