Yeah you are probably right $25-$35 is crazy money for these chips, but its just all a case of a strong seconday market demand, and of course when demand is high it drives up the price and then its up to you to buy at the secondary price or make the trip to Hooters and try to get them at face. Just shows tho when you can buy chips from other casinos (eg 4 Queens) which also have an LE of 1000 for about $8. Guess we just love Hooters lol.
