Sorry to hear of your loss Todd. It's amazing how attached you can get. I just had ACL (knee) surgery on my friend Bailey two days ago. She had the same surgery done on the other rear leg one year ago. At $1000 a pop I got many different opinions from my friends and family, but she is also my family. I got her ten years ago. She may only have a couple more left, but I will do whatever I can to keep her as long as I can (as long as she isn't in any pain.) Sounds like you did what you could for as long as you could. It's hard to say goodbye, but eventually that day comes.
