Only a true dog lover knows what you are feeling right now. I sympathize with your loss. She's a beautiful dog.

I've had to put my last 2 dogs (bassett hound and a boxer) down due to health reasons. Hardest thing I've had to do in my life. But I take great solace in that I spared my friends further misery, and assumed their pain through my grief. They would have done no less for me if the opportunity presented itself.

There is no greater joy than coming home to an excited dog, yet no greater heartache than letting them go.

Hang in there Von!! Just remember, there are so many dogs that need good homes. When you're ready you'll know it and you're next best friend will be waiting with their tail wagging!
