I just wanted to make it clear to anyone reading this thread that it's quite possible that these chips and the others discussed infringe on the intellectual property rights of others, and there may be more at issue here than ethics. I was not trying to argue your main point, which, it seems to me, must be resolved by each individual; whether they feel they should warn others or not.
