Is there alot of crime there? Probably, but I've never been a victim of it. Use common sense. Do I need personal protection? Against crime: no. Against your urge to buy every chip, swizzle, ashtray, key, etc. that you see: probably.

Are the hookers expensive? I dunno, but they're illegal in Clark County (Vegas), so probably.
