There are extremely rare Nevada chips for which only 1 example of the chip is presently known to exist.
One of the finest collections (if not THE finest)of unique and extremely rare Nevada chips in existence is encased in lucite in 4 different 19" x 21" x 3/4" boards. These boards were created in the mid 1950's.
Among the chips in one of these boards is a chip that I believe if it could be removed intact (which it can not) would be the most valuable of any Nevada chips. Anyone want to guess what it is?
These boards will be one of the exhibits at the Annual Convention at the Riviera later this month.
I thought it might help get everyone's juices flowing to show a scan of one of the chips every day or two between now & next Thursay, when I'll be starting out on my 2500+ mile drive from Dallastown, PA to Las Vegas.
This first chip was thought to exist for many years. Up until the late 1990's, the $5 and $100 in the series were known to exist, but noone had seen the $25.
Well.. here it is - the $25 first issue Sands.
