after reading this, decided to buy those envelopes for the red chipcos in my collection. now after going through the collection, damm red chipcos did bleed and ruin some of my other chips. I learned too late, but maybe it will prevent future damage. I may just stop buying chipcos, that would definitely solve the problem.
