I work in a Metal Stamping Plant here in Ohio and do alot of Stainless Steel work Certain types of Stanless are magnetic 316 Stainless is not!! 400 series is and that explains the rusting part that David spoke of . Tumbling will Polish stainless to a bright luster somtimes almost to a mirror like finish depending on the Media used during the tumbling operation. Hope this info helps!
