For years we've used the cardboard chip holders with the mylar windows to store our chips. Since we've done that, I've never noticed "bleeding" from the red Chipcos.
The chip holders are in 12 pocket pages, in 3 ring binders. Today I was taking digital photos of the chips, 4 chips at a time. I had 4 red chips in my hand, and noticed red stains on one pocket of the page. Forgetting that red Chipcos tend to bleed, I actually matched up the shape of the stain to one of the chips in my hand...the only Chipco. duh.
Funny thing is, there wasn't a trace of red on the mylar windows in the cardboard holder. Each chip has its TCR # on the holder, so I knew which holder the chip came out of.
Sorry to ramble... the point of the post is to let you know that the bleedin' red Chipcos can bleed right through the mylar windows, so if you store 'em in boxes you might want to reconsider. I'm thinking about hold-punching some white card stock and putting it between chip pages. Thank goodness we don't have a lot of Chipcos!
