Just before the chip show in January, my year old Toshiba decided it didn't want to boot up anymore. I didn't have time to troubleshoot it so bought a new Compaq laptop from Costco.
After I returned home, I determined the hard drive on the Toshiba had failed. I had a spare from an earlier computer and when that was installed, it worked fine. The Toshiba Satellite was about $1300 new and I'd sell it for $400 plus shipping if anyone is interested.
This is the unit that I've carried to chip shows for the past year or so to check which chips are in my collection. Specs are:
Toshiba M-20, 1.3 GHz Pentium M processor, 512 MB RAM, 20 GBy disk (14 GBy free), screen is the oversize 14" matte finish LCD, IBM-type pointing stick. Comes with Windows XP Professional. I've been getting around 3 1/2 hours battery life at shows. Includes integrated modem and WI-FI circuitry. Weight is 6 lb.
