I was ready to buy a few chips that were posted on TCB via PayPal. As is my habit, I checked my PayPal balance to verify that I had enough for the purchase. Not only was I without any funds, but there were four unauthorized transactions through my credit card totaling $750. Two hours on the phone, including a 3-way conversation with PayPal and BofA has resulted in new account security information, 10-day PayPal investigation of the claims, new credit card account number and new cards. Moreover, I now need to change that info with accounts such as my Prescription service, Dish Network, etc. before the next billing cycles. What a pain in the behind! I'm sure glad I check my accounts online quite often. This time it was longer than usual (a week), but I caught it before I was even billed for the charges. That's the only good part about it.
