For the past few months, I've been having some very strange things happening with emails. I've sent emails to people, and then I hear back that they haven't received them. It's happened over and over again. I've now been discovering that a number of Paypal payment that I made never went through. Everything went fine during my normal paypal payment procedure, but then I heard back "hey, how about paying for the chips". Surprised, I went to check on the date from Paypal to let the person know the exact date of payment. I was fully expecting to tell the person to check their junk mail or check their paypal acct to see the payment. What I found instead was no trace in my paypal acct of the payment.
Well today, after another one of these, I finally put two and two together. It took some time, but I've finally figured out the answer to the mystery!!
As it turns out, I bought a new Dell laptop computer a few months ago, which for the most past, aside from the higher weight then I would like, it's a nice machine. I don;t use the Dell at home all of the time, sometimes I use my Gateway, sometimes the Dell.
When I use the Dell, I've noticed that I have quite a few disconnection from my wireless cable setup. It usually reconnects in a matter of 30 seconds or so. Most of the time, I don;t even realize that I've lost the connection because it then reconnects so quickly.
It seems as though I've lost connections as I was sending the emails, resulting in them not getting through. I'll be contacting Dell first thing tomorrow to get this taken care of. In the meantime, I think I'll need to use a wired connect.
