Jerry said:
"In sorry but this twit is putting me over the edge."
Sam says:
Sorry to hear that.
Jerry said:
"For the umpteenth time, I asked what the reserve was BECAUSE I WANTED TO ASCERTAIN IF IT WAS WORTH MY TIME TO WORK OUT A BID. Period."
Sam says:
Begging a seller for their reserve price should not be a part of someone's pre-bidding homework. Not only do you put people on the spot, you are being unfair to others who might have an interest in bidding. Why should you be put-in-the-know as to what the reserve is, and not others? To me that's a sign of selfishness and it indicates that you have little respect for fellow collectors. Both buyers and sellers.
Jerry said:
"And then I got lied to afterwards with a lame story about an extra zero somehow getting into the reserve price, but, oh well, I guess I am gonna leave it that way."
Sam says:
Jerry, I think you are a twit, a selfish lying whining twit. Because in this last auction, not one word of a "extra zero" was mentioned. But you were bidding on that auction. However, if you are referring to the first auction and you truly felt that you were lied to, THEN WHY THE HELL WERE YOU BIDDING ON MY SECOND AUCTION?
Jerry said:
"I have tried to keep this civil, but you are full of it Sam. That is my last word on it. Feel free to B.S. it away to your hearts content now, but it won't change the simple truth that YOU lied and misled."
Sam says:
No Jerry, YOU ARE A LIAR. Because had you really wanted them, you would have done your own homework. Instead you somehow feel that only you should be entitled to private reserve information. You're not the only one with this mind set. You remind me of a one-way street. If things don't go your way, you crash. You emailed me, wanting to know the reserve. When I would not divulge that, you emailed me again telling me that you really wanted the items and that your high bid was $4k. You asked if I would at least give you a ballpark range so you would have something to work with. You specifically asked me how far you had left to go, to break the reserve. Basically, only re-worded, you continued to pry for the reserve information.
DID I NOT TELL YOU, that you were not even half way to the reserve?
DID I NOT TELL YOU, that the reserve was lower than $12k?
YES, I told you this. So as far as I'm concerned, without actually putting you in-the-know, you had enough information TO ASCERTAIN IF IT WAS WORTH YOUR TIME TO WORK OUT A BID.
If you're going to defame someone, then get your lies straight.
