Initially you said
"I guess I'm just a bit confused as to the value on some of these coin center chips. Something tells me that this seller will sell these."
Now
"I agree, my feeling is that they are way over priced"
Sounded like you thought they were underpriced the first time you posted.
Regarding your other question - I took the time to work out current retail price on all 900 odd chips in your collection for sale. My bid, both this time and the first time you tried to auction, represented a substantial proportion of that value I calculated. Both times I believe I was just the underbidder.
Whilst I realise you do not wish to make money, as I said before, there are two things you have to consider.
1. You are selling more than just the chips. I doubt many chip collectors or dealers are in the slightest bit interested in anything but the chips.
2. I still maintain that 95% of the chips are either still available from the casinos, or, as in the case of the Silver Birds, readily available in quantity dirt cheap. I only counted half a dozen chips that I would regard as difficult to find.
The first time you auctioned and the reserve was not met, you indicated you would now keep your collection and never sell it. A few weeks later and it was up for auction again. Are you really selling it?
