Just a brief update as to why I havent been on much.

We've been through a major renovation at the house and are almost done. On top of that, we've taken on some bigger projects at work and have been busily preparing for that.

On top of all of that, my Grandmother has terminal ovarian cancer and I am currently in southeastern saskatchewan where she lives hijacking a hotel wireless network to catch up on some work and at least let everyone know that I have not dropped off the face of the earth. My sister is here from the UK, my mother is here and spending as much time as we can.

I have been keeping half an eye on the board, so in no order of an kind:

Congratulations Gene, I'll se you next week. We've never met, but I do want to say hello. Drop me a line and let me know when I can get you at the ofice between the 19th and the 21st.
To all the LV chippers, I'll be there next week (thanks to non-refundable tickets) and my offer to buy you a beer still stands. Let me know by email if you're interested - especially Andy - I do do owe you one.
I see the Silver Slipper is back in the news... and I'm working on an article for the next deadline - sorry I missed the deadline for the next one, but I had to drop something. I've lined up an interview with the guy who started the silver slipper in Edmonton.

Otherwise, I am going to have to sit down and figure out my NBA chips and will be doing some trading when life gets back to normal.
