I have worked as a 21 dealer once for 4 1/2 years. [1977 to 1982] It is not the glamorous job you might think. Unless you have 'juice' as in knowing somebody that can get you on at a major resort, you start out in a dump, say like the El Cortez and bug the heck out of other downtown casinos to try to better yourself and move up. It is hard standing on your feet all day, pretty much in one spot, and you will spend a lot of time trying to find comfortable shoes. It is not what you might expect.
