Due to a misshipment, I got two sets of $1 and $5 from the Wendletons. Settled up (Thanks David & Carol!) and thought the extras would be easy traders at the Riv and headed off for a haircut.
Showed the chips to my barber, a really good guy I've partonised since I had hair growing on the top my head as well.
"Wow!" he says, turning the chips over...and over...and over. "Look at these!" he's showing them to the other folks. "My friend John collects Mariln Monroe stuff and he'd love these! Where do you get 'em?" I guess he heard me when I told him Spokane, he's just checked out, sort of, looking at the pieces over by the window in the sunshine, over and over and over.
"You want them?" I sez.
"Sure!" he said big-eyed.
He got the chips and even went the 385 miles to Spokane to check out the place, too late as it turns out. I got the haircut, full charge as it turns out.
Don't think I'd really remember the chips if I'd gotten two or three times my money back. I was out the cost of the chips but sure did feel good just giving them away. Probably something I learned in this hobby.
