Fantasy Springs is in Indio, CA and, no offense, I don't care what their site says...lived there for 20 years, taught there for 30+/-. Wife Janice was born there and worked at the USPO in Indio 92201 for 36 years.

The casino that worries me for strangers to the desert is Agua Caliente. Their address is Rancho Mirage but actually the casino is a short 9 iron (?) from Thousand Palms about 7+/- miles east of Rancho Mirage "proper." It's at Bob Hope and Ramon Road with just a double set of railroad tracks and Hwy I-10 separating it from 1000 Palms.
