I've just been gifted a collection of a little over 100 paper beer mats or coasters, all different, and all advertising German (or Austrian?) beers. I don't know if there's anything rare included, but some of them have dates from around 1993 on them, which is when I'm guessing the collector who gave them to me visited Europe.

I'm at the critical moment all chronic collectors face: Do I use this to start a new collection or trade/sell them to feed my chip collection?

Any suggestions or pointers would be welcomed from those in the know about these things. I'll be Googling to learn more, but thought I'd check here first.
