you may not agree with Manifest Destiny, but you have to admit on February 2, 1848 the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo happened. The US Army and Navy "conquered" the Mexican Army. The result? The annexation of Texas, and the compensation for the New Mexico Territory and California. Live with it... this is the USA not Mexico. In Mexico, the demonstrators today and illegals would be in Federal prison, or worse.
